At SCSE we have been using the current downturn in business as a result of COVID-19 to invest in continuing professional development. Our Director and Principal Consultant, Sean Minto, recently took the time to update and upgrade his Occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS) auditor qualifications with Exemplar Global to the new:

• ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems—Requirements with guidance for use; and
• ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for auditing management systems – to the grade of Lead Auditor.

As a result, Sean is now an Exemplar Global Certified Lead Auditor in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This will provide our clients with the assurance that you are dealing with a certified and recognised professional auditor.

Many of you will already know Sean as a Certified Generalist OHS Professional specialising in the area of supply chain and logistics safety and compliance / chain of responsibility. But what you may not know is that Sean has years of OHSMS auditing experience working for large corporates including BlueScope and Woolworths. Sean was first qualified as an Accredited OHS Lead Auditor back in 2005.

Since that time Sean has successfully conducted and led business units through numerous OHSMS audits using AS/NZS 4801:2001 OHSMS requirements and the National WHS Self Insurer Audit Tool used by OHS regulators at both state-based and Commonwealth (national) levels. Note: AS/NZS 4801:2001 has been superseded by AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.
